Well hello everyone! It's been quite sometime since I updated! I've had so many things on my plate lately that I have put my blog on the back, back burner. Whats new you may ask? Well....
1) WE FINALLY MOVED INTO OUR NEW HOUSE! We moved in about a month ago and the 'this seems like a dream' feeling is finally disappearing. James and I have become quite the DIYers. We decided to put grass seed down instead of sod, which was a big project but its really neat watching the grass slowly grow. Next we want to extend the patio and build a firepit...if we are successful I will post pictures! I wanted to start a garden but I think it might be a little to late in the year to start especially since I don't know what I'm doing! :)
2) Kaelyn has started a summer school program in la casa. Ok so I set up a little table for her and say its school...she loves it and thats all that matters right?! We have been working on our ABC's and motor skills (making necklaces, cutting, etc.). Today we were coming out of the gym (golds gym) when K started reading the sign on the building "G-O mommy G-Y-M" she didn't know how to pronounce it but at least my hard work is paying off!
3) Potty training is now in the works! I wanted to wait until after we were settled before I went full force into potty training just because I didn't want her to revert back during a stressful time. So I took all my internet research and started the potty training! We have been VERY successful and I am so proud of my little rugrat. I printed out a 'trophy' and glued it to a paper towel roll, its so cute watching her run around the house holding her trophy screaming "KK go potty, KK go potty!" Now if only I could get her to TELL me she has to go potty. she will go every time I put her on the potty but she never lets me know.
4) Gym/gymnastics- I'm hoping that by write this one that I will give me a little more motivation to keep going! I have been going in the mornings, which I love but I feel unmotivated to use the machines and weights without a partner. but I plan to keep going and work through my fears and JUST DO IT! (ok nike...I promoted you...can I have some money??) Oh speaking of gym...I was on my way the the gym the other day and I was running late to my free personal trainer meeting. I of course get pulled over for speeding...maybe 8 over? Anyways, I had no ID on me and for some reason I couldn't find my registration either! It must have been my lucky day because that nice man let me go with just a warning!
Gymnastics-we have switched from a night class to a morning one and I LOVE it! I see a huge improvement in K's involvement and it is so much more relaxed. We have a little trampoline in our living room that has a bar attached. She does all kinds of crazy tricks on it now! I will have to bust out the flip and record some. :)
5) Arts and Crafts- ok nothing new with this BUT I do want to start up that craft night that I've been talking about. If you are reading this and would like to join in on a craft night please let me know a day and time that works for you!!
Well my friends have a very happy and safe 4th of July! James will be working so I'm not sure what Kaelyn and I have planned so far but fireworks will for sure be in our future!

To Easter and beyond!
Well Easter was a hit in our little household. Kaelyn loved her fun toys the Easter bunny brought her. Call me crazy but I am not a huge fan of all the candy that is given out on Easter. I'm not a religious person by any means but why does a holiday that means so much have to be so commericalized?? Oh well, I might have my opinion but I still go right along with it hiding eggs filled with little chocolates. PS Huge fiasco Easter morning...I was so excited for Kaelyn to collect her eggs that as soon as she got up I sent her off with her bucket to collect. Now this would have been but they were plastic eggs full of chocolate. She begged for her chocolate and me being the over protective, everything has to be perfect person that I am kept her no after breakfast. Then proceeded to get mad because I couldn't get any 'good' pictures. Now I look back a see how silly I was for being so upset but at the time its so hard to control my emotions. Chalk that on the board of things to work on: Do yoga - think before you speak.
We see foundation for our house! I am going to make a black and white college and put them in a neat frame and hang it somewhere inside. Wouldn't that be fun to see a picture of your own house being build inside your done house?! Well I do!
I have been quite busy lately trying to reschedule my life. I recently started working for my dad from home, something I have always want to do is surprisingly quite hard! I thought it would be so easy to go into the other room and work on some stuff while Kaelyn quietly played on the floor by my feet. HA!! In my dreams. Every 10 minutes I'm running out seeing why shes grabbing a towel saying 'I clean it up' or watch her dart past with a bucket full of condiments from the fridge. Once we get into the groove of things I think it will be nice being able to stay home with my little one and still make money. But for now I feel I have no time for craft projects when in reality I have plenty, I just choose not to do them. I need motivation to finish those leg warmers! :) Maybe Wednesdays craft night will help!

Here it goes!
Here I am sitting on my lazy bum thinking about what to write. Should I make this into a sappy love blog of how grand my relationship is and my amazing family? I wish I was that perfect. fortunately I make the best of what I am given...Ok so I SAY I make the best of what I am given. Truth is I'm a whiny mess. I do have a wonderful man and I am head over heels in love with both him and our daughter Kaelyn. Now if only I would step back from my over reactive high strung self and would admire how great my life really is. And THAT is why I am starting this blog. To look back at my days and realize I do have the 'prefect' life I strive for in my crazy head.
Any who, I am Maressa. I have a smart, beautiful, energetic 2 year old daughter who is obsessed with cartoons at the moment. That is one bad habit I would like to break and fast! Hopefully once our house is finished she will spend more time outside then in. Our house! We are building a house!! My very first home and I get to pick all the special details. This is one of those moments where while I type I think "See you fool you are blessed!" Our (hopefully) move in date is May 17th and I am counting down the days. I think once we get to 30 days I will relive my school days and make a paper chain and ripe off one chain a day. HA! I think I will get more excitement out of that then Kaelyn. Looks like we have another arts and crafts activity to add to the list. I love arts and crafts. Look forward to many postings of my silly little half-assed crafts. I love to make things but I don't have the patients to take my time. I'm working on it. Knitting defiantly helps this problem. I recently was inspired by my old friend Carey to start knitting. I have accomplished one leg warmer. Yes you heard me right...one out of two. Lucky for me, Miss K loves to sport her one leg warmer around to make her mama feel proud. I want to start a craft night with a bunch of girls and rotate house every month or twice a month. I think it would be so much fun! Unfortunately, I didn't get many takers when I posted something on facebook.
Well I honestly will not tell people about this blog for some time knowing myself. I'll wait till something a little bit more interesting comes along before showing the world my new skills as a 'blogger'. Maybe this will be my own inspiration to accomplish a new (or old dusty, still sitting on the shelf half finished) project or maybe lose that well over due last 20 pound of baby weight.
TTFN.....hehe I can't believe I just said that! :)
